PSA Chief,

I sent my resume in the email a few weeks ago and I was wandering if you guys/gals are still hiring.

I live in Charlotte and want to be based there. I accepted a class date with another regional but PSA is where I want to be.

Any advice on getting called in to interview and becoming a part of blue streak?

my times are 1200 TT 500 Multi 300 turbine.

Any info would be great.

I was in my office today ...Sunday July 3rd and I didn't see you, DO you ever work anymore, or just sit around in the Crash Pad and post on this website???

The only MD I drink is not Mountain Dew but I don't get the Unborn child thing, I'm to busy to think, explain in Personal e-mail!

That's funny. I got back to CLT this morning and sat there till 1530 and caught a ride home. Never saw a hin of ya. Honestly, I wasen't even looking though.

Get my ops report today?

I wasn't there today, July 4th, C'mon man I am in Management...That's a legal holiday and one I get paid for without working...I can only come in when I'm not getting paid, you know when I've been seen there at 10 pm, when everyone in DAY thinks the Airport's closed....Yeah I got it, I've got to go to the center of the universe (DAY) tomorrow but I should be in on Wednesday, If they don't make me stay at the DIA. OneTuffGUy must know you!

I got the application package in my email yesterday. I couldn't believe it! Unfortunatly, after reading some of your advice on trying to commute from MCO, and the fact that as a poor flight instructor I can't even afford to go buy a suit, I probably won't be sending it in. I'm just excited to even be considered! Thanks PSA!!

FMS Lab? are you a tool? or just a dork? why the F would you pay to learn how to use a FMS? I really hope since you are going to be such an FMS stud they make you show them all your skills when you interview. Dude instead of spending that money on a FMS class you should of went and got the USA Today for $0.50 and learned about sports that way when you fly with people you can actually know what you are talking about instead of telling me Michael Jordan was the best Football player to ever play the game. No airline needs another FMS rocket scientist telling everyone how great they are at it. Then take the other $499.50 you wasted and place it in the bank cause your gonna need it as a reserve FO.
 
Turn Around Time?

Anybody have an idea on the time it takes to get a call back after an app is sent in? I'm getting impatient I guess as acording to FedEx my app was delivered only 1 hour ago.:)

An hour dude, I think you might be able to measure the response in days not hours.

Please tell me that is a joke...... you tracked it on the FedEx website or something? Did you jerk off also while you waited? You need to get a hobby dude.
 
This is exactly the reason this industry has gone to where it is today. Yeah, it's a leap up from where these guys are, but in 6 months you'll hear them bitching about not being upgraded. Such as the f/o I had which had one year within aviation, and was bitching about how the Mainline pilots don't stand up for the regional guys and that's why the f/o pay scales are so low, and he's getting ramain noodle pay for flying a jet...blah blah blah........errrrr...dude..then why are you here???? Well you see...I need the experience to get on with a major...... I politely tried to explain to him some of the history in the past 20 or so years, which he had no clue but still insisted it was mainline pilots faults this is where it is (which to some degree it is, but not all of it) I politely told him to STFU and continued the 4 day in silence regarding anything within the aviation industry.

Maybe you should STFU and remember where you came from the only people that ruin this industry are the pilots who think just cause they flew a big jet they can come and take take take from express pilots. Now get a clue and leave us regional pilots alone to eat our noodles and bitch about how nice it was before jets for jobs was created.

328 Dude is not allowed to shut an engine down, He isn't checked out to do that yet.....Training has changed since you were "admitted"....We do things in stages...Engine shutdowns are in PC 4, 24 months into your training.......Relax, Drink another drink or something.....Call me, Ya got the #???

Suit?

Did you see Napoleon Dynamite...Go to the Thrift store and buy a Powder Blue Tuxedo...10 bucks, I believe! If you show up wearing it, You'll definitely make it to Phase two...We do things a little different at PSA, Life's to short to be any other way. I use to hate these things, being on the otherside of the table.

Borrow one, I could care less, Go rent one at the Tuxedo store....Just make sure you where a jacket and a tie, Going without didn't go so well for someone in the past. And if HR can't take the joke, oh well. (I wouldn't try this anywhere else.)

Hey plunger,

Try Men's Warehouse. You can get a good suit there and it won't break you.

OneTuffGuy,

I don't know how to address your comments. I am not paying for the FMS lab...it is free to me and I want to be competent with any aircraft system I am operating.

In my view, lack of competence erodes respect. When I am a captain I want my FO's to be able to learn from me.

I didn't actaully track it. It was a joke. Apparently the smiley face was lost on you. And for reference *IF* my app did really get there 1 hour before I posted it only took hours not days to get back to me. Looking forward to actually getting a shot at a job there.
