700 rates

Just to clarify the 700 pay rate issue....we will never see those rates, or any rates that are ratified. We will not be paid a separate rate to fly the 700. Our pay scales will be a blended 200/700 rate and everyone will be paid the same whether they fly the 700 or not. Since we will be getting 60 200's and only 25 700's, the pay rates will be much lower than the negotiated 700 rate.

So yes, PSA will be flying a 70 seat aircraft at much lower than industry standard rates.

Also, these airplanes are being flown by line pilots on a regular basis. Not soley by instructors doing IOE.

True they are being flown by line pilot's, but not original PSA line pilot's.

Mainline MEC would $hit a sailboat if we flew them.

Has anyone considered......

having a back up plan to hire PSA or other WO guys who fight the crappy RJ payrates and end up losing thier jobs? It would have helped the Mesa guys, even though they eventually choked, during their contract fight to know that someone was willing to help if JO flushed them. Apparently no one has considered turning around to get a plan about what YOU are gonna do to THEM, instead of the other way around. To be sure, there are a vocal few who couldn't stop whining long enough on this board to consider ANYONE other than themselves, but who is man enough? It seems that ALPA is a bit tone deaf on this subject, anyone willing to step up to the plate? Push your reps? It seem that the loud mouthed few on this board should not ruin it for the vast majority of quality WO flight crews, so how about it? Give them SOME safety net to fall back on.....even for One Tuff Pedophile? Is it possible? Or will the mangers of todays airlines take advantage of the angst amoung you for their (further) gain???? They are, after all. laughing all the way too the bank......

there have been some original psa line holders flying the 700s. They were supposed to be flown by 100% mainline guys for 90 days but there aren't enough of them to go around so some psa fos are flying them.

Heard a rumor that PSA will lose the 700's to Mesa if no agreement is reached on pay. Is this true?
