Since I have at least 15 days off a month, and I'm living on peasant wages at Lakes, I'm thinking of getting a part-time job. Only problem is that I need something that is flexible and fun. Sorry, I won't flight instruct. Anybody have any ideas?. Yes, I have thought about being an escort and a salsa dancer.

Does anybody know the limit where, I can file for low income? Don't we get some kind of break?

Thanks People

Stick with drinking "Keystone Light" and eating P&B jelly sandwiches and you should be OK....

By the way...get your a$$ to Kew Gardens!!! Yerman's is off the hezzzzzzzzzzy!!!!!!!!

Cornelius,
Why not pick up some open time? I made way more money as an FO at Great Lakes than I have at Air Willy. Don't bother with food stamps, etc. You don't qualify. I don't qualify and I'm on unemployment, que passe?. Also, if you know of any part time flying jobs out in Denver, an ex-Laker friend of mine who is on furlough from Air Willy is looking for some stick time...PM me if you know of anything.

Once a Laker always a Laker.

Steve

PS. Are you guys still short of E120 FOs? I hear that Pommy is hiring back furloughed ex-Lakers to fill in the low spots.

AWAcoff, I have 3 people underneith me in the EMB-120, and my schedule next month doesn't look good. I have a 4 day, and 2 2day trips, and the last half of August is HRSV. We actually have a reserve system in the Brakillya. I have heard rumors of a new EMB-120 CA class since there may be some captains leaving soon. One more thing, there is no open time in the EMB-120.

I do have a friend who is senior in the EMB-120 and will be upgrading soon in the B-1900 so he hopefully will give me some trips while he gets my reserve so he can study.

I'm based out of CYS and live in Fort Collins so I have no clue what's going on down in DEN for flying jobs. Sorry.

Pomeroy did hire back some ex-lakers, but only to teach ground school, sim, and checkrides. That was in May and those guys are not here anymore.

House-X, hows that new omputer treating you snizat!

Peace in the East.

Have not been there in a few years. Is Billy still the bartender?

:D Learn to play pool I make an extra grand a month easy . It may take 2 or 3 years to get to that level but it sure is worth it.

If Billy is the guy who's really cool, but will scam you if you leave a tab on the credit card, yeah, he's still there...were you at ACA?

That sounds like him. Get to know him and he gives alot of drinks away. I was there with trans states..

You want a decent part time job that doesn't require a set schedule, then try getting a job mowing the grass along the runways out at a local airport. Its not glamorous, but it doesn't require a lot of physical activity, you get to work on your tan, and you don't have to deal with customers or bosses. Just watch out for pilots that can't keep it on the centerline:D
