I got one for you, Its old news and its a broken record. I'll believe it when I see it.

After seeing what UPS did to the challenge pilots I don't know if that is something the Polar or Atlas guys would want.

AA

UPS won't be able to do to Polar/Atlas what it did to challenge. We're a whole different animal. Its not as simple as just taking route authority, its a lot more complicated than that.

You are right, you guys MIGHT be allowed to interview.

Here's one for you, UPS senior management said recently that UPS was not finished with aquiring additional freight forwading companies, and there are rumors here of UPS again interested in Polar/Atlas. They are probably most interested in Polar's route authority and the -400s.
Oh well, like you said, Its just a RUMOR.

Man, I think that would be a bad deal if UPS bought Polar or Atlas. There needs to be competition out there to keep all of these companies honest! I hope that is just a rumor and that Polar and Atlas merge and become one BIG company. I think that they could really do some damage (as in market share) to the other companies out there! Hopefully, I will hear something from them SOON!!!

It's nice to know that you are all in favor of a bottom feeder taking market share from two of the dwindling number of airlines worth working for ( FedEx and UPS ). I'm sure you are all in favor of your RJs taking flying away from mainline. It's amazing now how many pilots, mostly at the regionals or bottom feeders, that are actually joyful at the bad economic news hitting the mainlines. I hope you enjoy flying that RJ, for it will be all you will see for many, many years.

UPSer,

I feel your pain, man. Your'e like a Kerry voter. You just can't get over it. You can't get over AAWWH (Atlas and Polar) getting more route structure, more market share, and the fact that the FedUPS suit can't ruin DHL's business, so you resort to calling us names.

You seem to have the "woe for us attitude," not addressing the real problem. Obviously, you can't see that the economy is booming for cargo, and there is enough for all of us. If you lose any of the share, it's not our fault. Try your marketing department. We don't have catchy little phrases like, "what blue and white can do for you." Our marketing department, however, is out shaking the heck out of the bushes for share. Between Atlas and Polar, we have a great reputation with customers. I wish that Uncle Sam didn't have me for this busy season, as it is going to be a busy and fun one, which I will miss.

You, also, seem to have a personal problem with the professionals at Atlas and Polar. Calling us Bottom Feeders. Well, I wouldn't call you a name. In fact, I would probably offer to buy you a beer. You see, I am able to separate what my company or your company does from how professional pilots should interact. I could say some really mean things about UPS and FedEX, but I am above that as a professional.

I hope you have a busy and fun season.

Thank you GCD! I tip my Wing to you Sir. Save your money...I'll buy the Beer.

Laugh now whalerider and gcd, just try and laugh when you are in that interview room in SDF! Remember what happened to the challenge crews.

If, and I repeat If UPS is interested in Atlas/Polar, the ONLY things they would want are Polar's routes and the 747-400s. They most definately would not take the crews outright and the BEST that you guys could hope for would be an interview to the bottom of the UPS seniority list. But then again, remember what happened to challenge.

Rhoid,

I don't see where we were laughing at UPSer. I was just making a point about there being enough share for all of us!

I was also trying to make a point about professionalism in our ranks, which you obviously missed by tanting us about losing our jobs, which will not happen.

UPS didn't even give the Challenge guys an interview or a reach around!!!

The information I got was that Challenge was largely composed of ex-Pan Am SCABS. Have you heard differently or are you for harmoniously integrating SCABS onto your seniority list?

Another PRE-MADONNA!!

UPSer..... If I remember correctly, UPS started out as a "BOTTOM FEEDER" composed of Missfits whom no one would hire...Whos to say that Polar might someday grow into a power-house airline..Polar did not acquire route authority into Narita, 5th freedom rights slots into HongKong-Manila-Incheon, and most recently 9 China slots because of our good MANNERS...We have earned this through hard work, determination, and good service..Besides, we might not make "THE BIG BUCKS" like you guys do , but I bet you'r yearly salary that we have more FUN than any of you BROWN boys... Oh by the way, we don't have anyone loocking over our shoulder and we dont get repremanded for over-burning or being 2 minutes late.... Good luck with you'r carreer, and let the rest of us earn our bread and butter as best we can..

PS.. Our uniforms are better loocking than you'rs.....:-)
