Does anyone out there have any idea how long it takes to get the reject letter from Pinnacle??? I interviewed about 2 weeks ago, interview went well. Haven't heard anything back and freak out every time I open the mailbox.

This is probably of little comfort, but time doesn't mean anything. They get around to letting you know (yes or no) when they get around to it.

Be warned: this is the same professional manner in which corporate handles everything. Especially payroll adjustments :)

Efis, do you ever have anything positive to talk about? If you hate Pinnacle that much why don't you go find another job? I'll bet Wal-Mart is hiring greeters. If you have so much to complain about why don't you just leave? It's obvious you hate the company.

Wierdest Thing! Your letter turned up in MY mailbox. I'll read it to you.

Dear Mtnjam:
Thank you for taking the time to interview at Pinnacle Airlines. We were impressed with your qualifications and professionalism, Additionally, your performance in the simulator was exemplary.

We regret that we are unable to offer you a Position at Pinnacle at this time, as we believe you are overqualified. Call us back when you have 500 hours.

HR

little phlegm ball

You have nothing so why bother? You're a wannabe pilot.

Got it

Couldn't stand the pressure anymore, I called HR. Sounds like she is backed up over there so I just called and rolled the dice. She offered me a class date, so It's all good. I look forward to starting a new job especially with a company that is still growing. Other Regional's are getting shut down but this one is kickin!!
For those unhappy at Pinnacle you're more than welcomed to my glorious CFI position. There will be an opening now!! Flying a C-172 around yelling right rudder is alot of fun!!

Congrad on your class date. Keep your enthusiasm in class and study with a partner, and you'll do fine in training.

You're joining a bunch of great guys wherever you're based at. Have fun!

Kickin?

As far as efiscomps comments...He's right. I love flying here. The people I work with for the most part are great. I pretty much stay low on the radar, check in, fly, check out go home. But...and it's a pretty big but...our mgmt team just leaves a lot to be desired. Implementing new policies (junior man anyone?) without approval of our pilot group is just one example. So even though I enjoy coming to work, unfortunately I could care less for any member of our mgmt personnel.

Rook

Funny how if your flight is delayed for 3 hours they won't bother calling you and telling you not to show up...but if you're one minute late for check-in RRRRIIIING!!!

Complain,Complain

All I do is hear Pilots complain and complain about the company they work for. Take my job, make 15k a year, work 12 to 14 hr. days 7 days a week 365 days a year just to make ends meet. Even when it rains you're still on the phone explaining to some nuckel head whey you can't fly when it's 500 overcast and 1 mile vis. even though you've told him 3 times already!!! Then when you have 4 miles vis and 700 scattered and 2500 0vercast you have to explain to your boss why you're not out doing slowflight and stalls!!! He's just bent out of shape because his plane aeren't out making $$$ I'll trade anyone. I've got just over 1,000 hrs. of dual given and it's enough for me. Bad management, holidays, weekends and night flying??? Don't care, I'll take it. Captain that says shut up and Gear up, hey fine with me, just let me ride in the cockpit of this cool CRJ and tell me when you want something done. Don't agree with it, but it sure is better than being the good ol' CFI. Folks take a step back and think about how bad it could be.
As far as Regional's going under. PSA to name one. Other's in Limbo??? Chicago Express. Some guys work hard to make it to the left seat of a SAAB 340. Pinnacle and many other regionals?? First step is in the right seat of a CRJ or ERJ, how can you beat that? Can't really:-)
