It is of little importance right now due to the lack of hiring at US Airways but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the status of a flowthrough for Piedmont to US Airways.

Talked to some people at Piedmont and they are under the impression that a flowthrough is concrete and exists so that if US Airways were to hire tomorrow they would have to take pilots from the wholly owneds before anyone off the street. If this were the case why are there discussions between Piedmont and US Airways MEC about the flowthrough?

Oh boy... don your flame retardant gear jelly!

INCOMING!!!! RUN FOR COVER!!!!

Talk to 3 different flowthrough committee members, get three different answers. Call 'em up and let us know what they say.

Basic gist of it is that it does exist on paper. Whether or not our MEC will step on there di*ks and screw it up is yet to be seen.

yeah....... good luck with that. I'm sure CD has it alllllll under control.

CD is gone as of next month. PDT boys elected a new MEC Chairman.

New regime, new ideas. Good luck. They are half way through the APL.

Flow Through News...no flame...

Flow-through is back-burnered for right now until AWA/LCC seniority integration is decided. That will take place in May or June when the Arbitration results are released.

APL recalls are halfway through the list.

There are no current discussions taking place. The PSA MEC chairman "discussed" over-all industry flow through issues with ALPA President John Prater at a recent roadshow in CLT, but there are no scheduled discussions with the AAA MEC.

The PSA MEC has filed a grievance to remove AAA APL pilots who were former CEL pilots who are currently flying J4J positions at PSA. That grievance is headed into arbitration very soon. The overall situation at PSA toward former CEL pilots who are current APL pilots continues to impede discussions.

I've been out of the loop for a few months. Good to hear. Best of luck to y'all.

Flow creates 3 training events
Hiring off the street takes one

Why would any company want to pay for more training?

Except that there are a finite number of jobs, so that flow pilot will leave for the job that the off the street guy didn't take thereby creating the additional training event(s). Bad logic.
