Any current PDT seeing the effects lately of how bad we are short staffed? Any good stories lately? I'm sick and tired of this place beingh so short staffed. Extensions up the ass lately, and not to menitoed the junior manning..

Just another indication of the looming pilot shortage and pilot hiring of 2007. I figured I would post it before someone else does. Oh yea, and you don't need a college degree.

yea PDT is falling apart, i feel bad for the new guys coming aboard they have no idea, but they will, give them a few days with a crew from former alg

nothing is wrong with them in general by any means what so ever! but there are some that are so cranky and angry, more so then the pdt pilots in general. thats what i meant to say, just think about it, you get a brand new eager pilot out of training going to fly witha cranky alg pilot, geez no way, doesn't sound fun to me, true its a job but it's it should be enjoyable. let me reiterate alg pilots in general, are all good nice guys, but there are a few wierd dudes, p.n d.d k.g just to name a few.

We're leving like rats jumping off a sinking ship. The company had their chance to make something good out of this place and they never did. The attrition is just going to get worse and the company isn't hiring enough to cover the losses.

I'm sure every place has it's fair share of ****************************************. There were also some really nice guys in MDT as well. Fortunately, I never had the pleasure of flying with p.n.

Ahh.... the good old days of 116-130 credit hours are coming back.

You need me when? Ah, since I'm capped, I'll need 16 hours of override pay... in writing.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yea flash back 4 years ago! Once your capped out after 3, the world is yours!!!!!!!

Three years ago I availed myself for JM in CLT whenever the reserves gave me the heads up that they were all out. I was capped in 5 weeks.

I made 126.5 hours that November by playing the capped game, and it works for everyone.

*It was 127:23, and it was December- and I had XMas off. Nice month.

I think I was capped out in March that year! I do remember being away from home 12hrs and getting 16hrs of pay!
Being short staff sucks, but here comes all the premium pay trips again!! Nice starting a line of flying with 120hrs of pay credit!!!

Bring on the Premium Pay Trips!!!!
Baby needs new shoes!!

Ohhhh, premium pay and the crummy old website.

How about picking up a RSV day at 10:00, requesting last out, and calling for release with an unopened beer and steaks on the grill? That was EASY. Dang rules.

Yup. Get capped early, and make beaucoup money in NOV/DEC. Flu season and all... ;)

THE BEST TRICK EVER: Getting displaced for SOE, conning the scheduler into releasing you from the trip ON THE RECORDED LINE while you're looking at the open trip for the next day. JM+premium pay, for each day of the open trip (PLUS displaced trip pay). AWESOME. They got wise quickly. Gee- that's about the time I got 'em for an illegal pairing with negative turns and 14:30 sked duty- coincidence?

And I thought I could work the system!!! LOL

i heard that the director of training J.K is looking at at other places, and in fact already did interview elsewhere

Ahh, there ain't nothing new under the sun.

In other words, that rumor has been flying around for a long... LONG time.

HA! If it comes back to all of that, you better believe I'll be back in form. Know thy contract and the rest of the information we need is on the website. Fish in a barrel.

Jr manned last week.

Then yesterday they added an extra round trip and DH that started 5 hours before my original report time today. Of course I get in late to MHT last night- but instead of re-assigning those extra legs they adjust my report time and hold the originator that I'm supposed to DH on this morning for 20 minutes just so I can have 8 hours of rest.

I don't see this nonsense coming to an end anytime soon either.

Remember, if your tired...... your tired! I'm SAFE!!
