Southwest will add 14 daily nonstops to our schedule at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) on July 6, doubling our number of daily flights at the airport less than two months after we inaugurate service.

Herb made the announcement during an address to the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia on Thursday. Southwest will begin our service at PHL on May 9 with 14 daily nonstop flights to LAS, MCO, MDW, PHX, PVD, and TPA. On July 6, we will launch 14 additional daily nonstop flights to the following cities: FLL (one daily), HOU (one daily), LAX (one daily), MHT (four daily), MSY (one daily), RDU (four daily), TPA (adding one nonstop for a total of two daily), and PBI (one daily).

Southwest to Add Five LAS Nonstops in June With the addition of two new aircraft in June, Southwest will add additional daily nonstop flights each way between Las Vegas and the following cities beginning June 13: one LAS-BWI (for a total of three daily), one LAS-SJC (for a total of seven daily), two LAS-MDW (for a total of nine daily), and one LAS-OAK (for a total of 11 daily).

Direct result of acquiring I believe around 8-9 aircraft in June. Interviewing & new hire classes proceeding on schedule. Congrats to those getting the calls & to those waiting, hang in there you're time will come before you know it. Folks who have been waiting in the pool for 2+ years can tell you about the waiting game, your's will be less time than that (some much less, others a little less possibly) before you get a call for interview even with so many folks waiting to get the call...keep updating & improving yourself so when you get the call you'll be the best candidate you can be....good luck & thanks for considering SWA!

cheers & God Bless,
