At Flex our study time doesn't start till one hour after we call in, it stops one hour before we call in. We only get 12.32 hr for training, unless you are TEB based then you get 10.38 hr. You are limited to just 16 hrs of study time, however if you study on your last day off you will not be paid, because you will be paid the next day.Guitar rocker said:Safety.....yes, we get study pay. Here is the deal: you call in on your day off and tell them that you are beginning to study your FSI manual at such and such time. The clock starts ticking and depending on the class of aircraft, that determines the pay per hour. In the excel, our contract has 50$ an hour of study time. If we do sample WB problems, thats an additional 10$/hr as well. When we are done, we simply call up and have them shut us off the clock. Additionally, if we are studying on our day off, that also counts as an extended day and at my rate that runs about 800$ a day.

According to union rules you can not tell anyone about the study pay!
