The message that started this thread was written by someone who has a point of view that is odd, at best.

Regardless, the pilots at PSA are IMHO are PI$$ed at the fact that we did not get to vote on something AGAIN. (the two times we have been allowed to vote in the past 2 1/2 years it has been a no vote).

I have no idea if the PDT thing wast true or not, I don't really care. All I do know is that the mec just voted away our seniority, IMHO on some used car sales pitch, if you don't buy this right now the couple that was here yesterday said they would be back and pay in cash... etc etc. So we need a decision right this second or else.

This is the PDT MEC update for July 26, 2004 with 1 new item.

The most recent PSA hotline claims that their signing of an agreement on the CRJ 700 aircraft was an emergency response to news about the PDT MEC being in the final stages of negotiating such a deal, as well as obtaining PSA’s CRJ 200s. You should know that this was never the case! There were no negotiations entered into by either the PDT or the ALG MEC leaderships, and we are extremely disappointed that such claims may have been used to pressure the PSA MEC into signing a deal. It’s been clear for a long time that PSA was to be the recipient of such equipment, and that failing an agreement being reached with their MEC, these aircraft were to be flown at an affiliate carrier. Our position was always clearly defined: we will not entertain or be part of any more whipsaw attempts between the USAirways Wholly Owned carriers. Had USAirways’ offer to PSA been irrevocably and verifiably withdrawn, we would at such a time have been free to pursue negotiations for CRJ 700s only, to be flown at Piedmont rather than at affiliate carriers. That concludes this MEC update. Thank you for listening

PSA Got Dooked!!! You guys really need to consider a change in your leadership!!! Good Luck..

I don't have a dog in the U fight, but I have to wonder which individual has done the most to destroy my profession:

J.O or Worthless?

Very true, its sooo sad. PSA was tricked by management and ALPA national!!! WTF are we doing paying dues to a union, that will stick a knife in our back as soon as we turn around.

PSA should have known that PDT/ALG will probably not exist in 2 years, due to the fact that everyone and there mother is going to MDA. Everyone is jumping ship and those planes would have never made it on PDT's property.

Worthless needs to GO, and we need a President that is going to be more sympathetic to Regional Pilots.. This is getting way out of hand.

I don't blame PSA pilots, but they need to remember that they had a choice. And the unions need to communicate....

There is always an alternative to getting something accomplished. If I'm not given a choice then there is something very wrong with the situation.

You don't just close your eyes when someone puts a gun to your head. You reach out and grab a fist full of nutz, yank the gun from his hand, shove it up the poop shoot, and keep squeezing the trigger until your out of bullets. Then you reload.
