As a matter of fact I did....Those rates are lower than Skywest, Expressjet and ASA 50 seat rates for FO's, just to name few...

Did you also compare them to Mesa, Mesaba, GoJet, Republic, PSA, Compass, and Eagle? To name a few more. These FO rates sit firmly in the middle to just above average of the industry. First year pay rate is the second best in the industry behind Horizon and its well above Skywest, ASA, and ExpressJet.

Considering these rate were determined solely by an arbitrator our contract guys, MEC Chairman, and ALPA lawyers did an outstanding job bending the arbitrator in our direction. He could have just as easily given us Mesa rates.

Gotta love the arguing about "average" regional rates. When it comes down to it, they all still suck.

Ranks right up there with arguing about who is the "best" regional airline.

First of all people, BREATHE

Second, it should be noted these rates are NOT defined as our "CRJ-900" seat rate. These rates are 70-76 seat jet rates.

IF the CRJ-900 for some reason gets 90 seats at Pinnacle, then we have to re-negotiate for newer rates. The 90-seater rate.

But for now, scope keeps it at 12 first and 66 coach.

I just wanted to clarify these rates aren't necessarily CRJ-900 rates, but 76 seat rates. Because there IS a difference. If in the future there are major changes, and our CRJ900s are configured to 90 seats, then we get new rates.

How do you figure? Looks like a split to me. The Captain rates are either identical or slightly higher for the Pinnacle guys, while the FO rates are slightly lower. I don't think either of us won this bet.

Careful.... F&H's Fav, aka Short Bus, aka Butterfingers, might sue you for that beer. There is a pattern of behavior.... aka past precedence...

Bypassed ASA ATR FO's make more... Hands down.

And if those were arbitrated rates, you might actually have a valid point. But since your rates are negotiated, and PCL's are arbitrated, not exactly a valid comparison. The rates that they achieve in Section 6 will be improvements upon these arbitrated rates. These are now just a starting point.

If the merger goes together Whipsawlapalooza is going to make it tough for the pilots at any of the affiliated airlines to make gains. It's far more likely that they'll be seeing who can bend over the furthest and fastest to secure a seat at a rapidly shrinking table.

Pinnacle's contracts with NWA and DAL contain solid protections in the event of a merger. There are certainly DCI carriers that have cause for concern, but Pinnacle really isn't one of them.

As an ASA pilot, the arbitrated rates for Captain are very respectable. The FO rates can hopefully be improved to 60% of Captain rates. They are in the ballpark and should not hurt any other carrier. If they can be improved when the contract is closed, even mo better! Now, get some good work rules--we support you in your efforts!

For all non Pinnacle Pilots: Show some support and be in MEM for their picketing next weekend in May! After the picketing, there is a Music Fest happening downtown, all weekend with great talent!

I'll be at the picket! Let's get the number of pilots above 200 this time.

Pinnacle is in a unique position in that it already serves both masters, but ultimately the only solid protection in that segment of the industry is a willingness to do it for less than the other guy is making.

...PCL128 said he would pay the company money to fly them....

You mean like you told ASA? But then you came back later and screwed your own pilots by wasting their bargaining leverage to get back half of your money? You really have no room to talk about PFT, John.

Ahh... someone who "gets it".

They're lower than what I was paid on the -200, six years ago. Pathetic.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you worked for the best paid CRJ-200 operator as of May 1st 2002. That would have been ACA.

The only thing I'm trying to prove here is that you are full of sh*t. I believe the new PCL rates are still south of where everyone in the industry needs to be but unfortunately they are right in the middle.

Hey PCL guys. When are you going to get your TA out there? Seems like a long time since the strike auth. for this thing to be dragged out this long!

Just a fellow ALPA OC member on the 9L side looking to get things improved over here!
