Hey guys I just had my computer stolen about 3 weeks ago on one of the flights I was flying. I have contacted the Detriot airport cops but they have not lifted a finger to help find it. I have the flight narrowed down to who stole it and also contacted passenger that sat around where I put it. I have no home owners insurance, payed for it w/ a credit card, nothing they can do and contacted Dell. I have gave all the police the flight manafest and even probally know who stole it but they will not get off their lazy arses and investigate it. What do I do from here? Please help.....

There's not much you can do. Your best bet is if the credit card you used had a theft protection plan or something like that, but you said they were no help. Just remember to write it off on your taxes next year.

Police can't do much. Unless you can prove that a certain px took it with hard evidence, you're out of luck. I would avoid flying into Detroit in the future. Or anywhere in the midwest for that matter.

After the flight ended and I noticed it was gone, myself and my crew and the gate agent searched the whole airplane four it. With no avail we went to the podium and started pulling up the passenger manafest with names and phone numbers. I started calling people and trying to see if anybody seen it. I did talked to one guy that sat in 1a and he said he seen the computer and he remembers talked to the guy in 2B about the computer. When I contacted the guy that sat in 2B he acted very skurtish about the whole incident and said he never seen a computer when the fella in 1A said that he was talking about it. Told the police this information and they acted like it meant nothing. They said they did not have enough probilital cause to search him. Do you even need probital cause to search someone at an airport (TSA). Now what do I do?

One of the Pinnacle execs took it for one of his kids.... If you want to keep your job, just forget you ever had a computer.:(

On the upside, you'll get your revenge when his kids find all your porn on the hard drive! ;)

Seriously though, that sucks. I think you're just outta luck.

You must be the guy that stole my computer you know all about my porn.

I think you mean probable cause. And yes, for a search relating to stolen property (not security) they need it.
