I was just wondering with all the rioting in Paris if there have been any crews that found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I know ALPA put out a special notice for crews to be careful.

If your airline puts you anywhere near where those riots are, you need to get a new job.

The riots are in the absolute slums 30 miles from Paris. You would not venture to those areas even before the riots. Believe it or not the whole thing is not even big news in Paris itself.

It does not affect the hotels around CDG or LeBourget.

Think of it as saying "dont go to Santa Barbera because there are riots in East LA"

I saw on CNN today that travellers from CDG are being advised not to take the train from CDG because it goes through some of these neighborhoods.

Wait, with all the france ripping we've done in this country in the past few years isn't anybody going to take pot-shots at france?

When AirTran starts CDG in April, we will probably be staying in one of the affected areas, according to our Hotel Committee.

As for ripping on France, why bother? Every chance they get, they do it to themselves . . . .commie-leaning, cheese-eating surrender-monkeys that they are . . .

I would. I would wear my Bush '04 T-shirt...along with my nascar cap!!

Why bash France? Better to finally wise up and see the fruits of liberal socialism and multiculturalism. If we don't then we will suffer the same fate. Yes, some political systems are better than others, not merely "different" and not dependent on one's point of view. Yes, there is such a thing as "good" and "evil".
Commie leaning? We better look in the mirror here in the U.S. Simple, yet frightening (and not the only) examples are our tax system and public school system. Heavily progressive tax brackets and government-schooled children are two ideas that are taken directly from ol' Karl's and Freddie's manifesto.
But it sure is easy to rip the Frogs....

I bet youre one of those guys with 15 bumperstickers on their car.

Only two: one is a John Deere sticker and the other is a "LUV Stinks" sticker courtesy of the J. Geils Band. ;)
