It was just tired. If you go by an airport around 0330 all the planes look like this.

UAL mechanics did not pin the gear properly before swinging the gear. Ooops

Now UAL can fire some mechanics, tell the bank they can have the 747 back and with all the savings from not flying the 747, UAL can now give all the supervisors and managers a raise.
