If we are very serious about our futures then we need to lose the egos and band together. Things won't be perfect but we'll have a lot more resources to fight the enemy. We can work for Fractional pay/benefits rather than company only.

If we really want the best, we need to come together and act like the best. No more tearing each other down, our companies love that.

I have been anti union in the past.

Agreed Airchef. The options and FJ guys need to start getting together on the road for dinner. Maybe even have meeting places and times a bunch of both groups will be like TEB,PBI,ADS,CGF. Our union Reps need to hold informational meeting for both groups so everyone can come to a reasonable decision on whats best for everyone as a group. Like it or not we are all working for the same company and will be sharing the same cockpit soon.

I have always hoped that net jets would open up their union to all fractional pilots. I would rather have them as our fractional union rather than the IBT. I don't think that net jets would ever go back to the IBT.

I don't think you're the only one that's been waiting for this...

I wish a lot of you with get this IBT thing out of your thought process..The IBT is nothing more than our financial backing when we need it..Its our own pilots that are fighting for our CBA

I was under the impression that the NJ union and the FO union executives meet occasionally to discuss things of mutual interest. Is that still the case?

Your thinking of the factional summit were stupinsky reassures his bosses that the teamsters are doing fine and have everybody where they want them. Then they throw up on your shoes and are out 20 bucks for a shoe wash and shine. Get rid of stupinsky and get our new mec making some real headway. Or shut the f u ckers down f or good

I believe part of the deal with the IBT when we separated would prevent us from including other companies in NJASAP.

Maybe, but I would think the NJA pilots' obligations would be out the window after Teamsters' representative Bill Moore attempted to steal the dues from Netjets pilots in advance of our departure from IBT, and in breach of that agreement.

Exactly. Teamsters is merely a franchise. They skim a little money and provide a framework, but what your company's union folks do is what really determines your future.

Ok. I'll be the jerk and ask the obvious question. What would be in it for NJASAP? It is bigger than all the other fracs combined. It seems to me that our dues would be sent to other locals in order to help them, and a tiny fraction would be sent to help NJASAP.

NJASAP is fighting the endless bankroll of BRK, and it's mighty legal team. Dues need to stay there, and not to someone else.

NJA's competitors unionizing with maximum leverage would drive competitors' operating costs higher, benefitting NJA's pilots. All done under the guise of helping the poor downtrodden pilots of Flex and FLOPS. What a laugh. Also, Clay Lacy and other management companies would benefit enormously for the same reason.

Don't be so sure.
Wait till they picket Omaha and don't have the Teamster's represented police to protect them this time.

Protect them from WHAT, exactly?

Interfering with legal informational picketing is a major violation of the NLRA and would result in an immediate lawsuit in federal court. Expect to see a minimum of 100 picketers in Omaha in May. Yours truly among them.

The Teamsters are a laugh a minute.

If a fractional goes on strike and the company tries to cover with charter flights, would those pilots be considered 'scabs'?

*i was reading the Clay thread.
