I'm surprised at this word. I've actually heard that NWA wants to expand out of MEM, but who knows at this point??

NWA over the last 18 months or so has been playing with MEM flights. They scale back a bit then occassionally expand a bit. Overall it has been a slow reduction for the last 18 months. The reduction has been mostly moving routes from mainline to the regionals then lowering frequency.

There was a rumor of them bringing back the last bank, then again that was before the BK.

I guess we will see in about a month on what they are planning, although I would not be surprised to see MEM downgraded to focus city.

I believe that their will be a couple less Avro flights per day, but they will be replaced with someone's CRJ in MEM. Another year NWA pilots will just be passing through. CVG should just all but close up with the company's request to reduce FO's by 60%.
