Can new hires expect the 9 out of MSP or DTW with a seat lock? Or is there a smattering of possibilities?
What aircraft are based in MEM? I know about the DC-9 and i'm relatively sure there's an airbus base there. What about the 757 or any international flying?
Also, as a new hire in the 9, how long til I could expect to hold 320 reserve in MEM.
Thanks for any info & looking forward to class.

New hires will be going into the backseat of the 747-200 in ANC. You can expect to be on reserve forever, or at least until moving to a different a/c.
Things tend to pan out quite interesting when a major begins hiring after a long time as well.
I started class at DL and put in my prefence to fly the 767 (originally assigned the 88)... figuring it would take about 2-3 years. 3 months later I was in class for it.
I do remember that NWA 744 FO is on par in seniority with 757 CA.
Can you give me any details on the NWA cargo flights between ORD-ANC & back?
Days of the week, dep/arr times, etc. would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi!
Is the 9 year upgrade, guys who were hired 9 years ago, and you're talking calendar years, or is that figure taken the 5 years of non-hiring into effect?
In other words, a NWA guy who was hired in 1993 would be a 9 year captain, since no hiring was done in 2002/3/4/5/6.
Thanx ahead of time for the explaination!

Does anyone know how many classes there has been and how many until the end of the year? How many per class? Total new hires so far?
Looking forward to joining NW in a couple of months.
Thnx
Any info on the Mesaba - NWA flow thru? I head it was supposed to start in January but it seems odd that planning hasn't put out any bid for it yet. I think 3 per month start in January and in August it goes up to 9 per month. Should be interesting to see who bids to go to NWA and who elects to stay at Mesaba.
What is reserve like at NWA on the 9. Long / Short call? Min days off? How many typical days off per month for a guy living in base (MEM)?
Also, anyone based in MEM on the 9 care to comment on what I can expect as far as trips. 1,2,3,4, or 5 days etc...?
Thanks in advance
Did you get MEM right out of class?
when did u start?
Thnx
If I understand this correctly, there is NO seat lock for newhires. Which would mean that if awarded 747 SO in ANC you could bid out of it as soon as seniority allowed, right? About how long would that take to get to DTW DC9?
