Redbook, greenbook, bluebook. These guys have been infighting for 20+ years. They just can't get along with anyone!

Simple,

Politics at its best! Take it or leave it, spin it any way you want to make your point... The end result is always the same, someone will feel cheated...

Irrelevant distraction. The NWA MEC Merger Cmte Representatives are vested with full authority and control to approve or disapprove any negotiated SLI, and have the complete trust and confidence of the pilots and MEC. Naturally there are always individuals who wish they could control the process as they see fit and are frustrated that they can't. Probably the same on every MEC in ALPA to one degree or another.

Maybe we should agree to disagree and live with the arbitrators' ruling.

The one way to avoid Officers's self dealing, or even the appearance of self dealing, is to take them out of the loop. They had a chance to reach a consensus and failed to do so. Now, they would like to negotiate after they know the likely outcome of an arbitration, which does smell of special interest manipulation.

Certainly there is zero evidence of any impropriety, but given our union's not-so-good history on mergers, maybe it would be best to avoid even the opportunity for "shenanigans" as the Irish would say.

FIN, its a rare day when we agree, I'm savoring the moment.

As I am sure that y'all have a percentage of know it all flamethrowers, ********************throwers (whatever you want to call them) we have them too. Does not matter who the mec chair is, they want him gone. They are the ones who bitch from the bleachers and sling mud, but rarely come up with facts. One of the current leaders of this group acts like a bipolar person. One minute all is well the next minute nwalpas broken and the mec ch is performing late term abortions and worshiping the devil. You guys will get to know this individual soon when we are all on one alpa webboard. I am sure you have a few loonies also. Hope this keeps it in perspective.

ALPA Watch = unity killers

If those ALPA Watch guys want to get involved to protect the interests of the pilots, then they should get involved in NWA ALPA itself. These shadow unions that purport to "oversee" the real unions do nothing but damage.

Heyas Cobra,

Yea, wasn't there a recall attempt in ATL at the beginning of this who merger process? Seems that it's not just a few NWA guys upset with the process.

It matters not. FDJ is performing his duties given to him by the DAL communications committee, and that's to keep everyone on their talking points (sort of a viral marketing ploy). This is exactly the same spin machine they had going during the contract negotiations.

Fins and the rest of the junior crowd at DAL are just whistling in the woods. You can even tell that ACL has gotten all flustered, because his normally above average grammar and spelling has gone out the window.

AAAAAH, the nervousness jibberings of a junior nw guy. I love it. Keep the entertainment coming.
Remember cupcake, your union is the one with 3 separate books, not DL's.
