Well then buy your self a beer, give your self a hug and celebrate. Yaaay!
I think I will! Edit to my post, I can also admit when I'm wrong...must have had a hangover the day they covered "then" and "than" in english 101.

Oh wow, I guess my college degree was useless then. Dang. Oooooh well... life goes on.
The flow through at both Mesaba and Compass require; 30 months experience at the regional, be a current captain, and meet any and all off the street hiring requirements ( flight times, degrees, background checks, ect.)
I never said that, but you sure expressed your opinion on aviation degrees. Anyway, it was a typo without proofreading on my part, not a lack of grammatical knowledge.
A 4 year degree is not a requirement for NWA, But with the merger, it looks like those who flow to the new DAL will have to have one.....Currentely DAL requires a degree.
Look man my whole point is, now that I'm older I am constantly wanting to learn. I'm trilingual and I want to learn another language, and if I could get my money back for my college degree I would. Not b/c I didn't enjoy going to school, but b/c I would've invested that money in a degree that I could've really used. But people stating that a degree shows that you can "stick" to something is total horse sh***. NASA pilots are very qualified individuals with degrees, and I can see NASA requiring a degree for operating the space shuttle. But for me to tell a guy that HE NEEEEEDS a degree to go from a CRJ to a 777 which is even MORE automated is BS. Anyways, but that's how it is and all I'm doing is just stating my feelings on the subject. Cheers
Then maybe you should have started off by responding to someone who actually said this, instead of quoting and responding to my opinion on DAL future hiring practices regarding flow agreements.
Look, the quicker more people get hired(or flowed) under me then my career at the new DAL is that much safer. I'm all for whatever flow is negotiated, all I stated was don't count on the flow lasting too long(past joint contract). Also, most likely, don't count on DAL doing much hiring over the next few years.
...Which flow UP has actually worked? Ask senior Eagle pilots.
You hit the nail on the head, but remember, evolution has occurred to the newer flow through agreements, which alleviate problems with flows in the past.
Lets all just wait and see, and stop pulling sh*** out of our a$$es. You have two pilot groups that are going to agree and basically run the darn place. Everyone keeps talking as if Delta is taking over NWA and delta is making all the rules.
The pilot groups do not determine the hiring minimums.
