Jetliner slides off runway at Lansing; no one hurt

LANSING, Mich. Ninety passengers and crew members escaped injury when a Northwest Airlines jet slid off a snow-slickened runway tonight at Lansing's Capital City Airport.

Flight 1933 from Detroit was landing when the mishap took place about 5 pm.

Deputy airport director Helen Schlientz says an undetermined number of flights were delayed or canceled because of the mishap.

Do you even have time to put the gear up going from DTW to LAN? Seems like you would have to to the before landing checks before you taxied into position.

Seriously though, hope everyone is alright
