Just a theory. Delta may have gave notice to the Republic group that their contract flying would not be renewed next time around. Why else has Republic been so aggressive getting away from contract lift and buying up Midwest and two days later Frontier. Both of which have all the peices Bedford was missing for a Stand alone airline. Not too mention the 190's.
Also another that may be in danger in the comming years...Pinnacle. Agin they bought Colgan and pursued Continental flying with the Q400, they operate 124 200's for Delta...which they have publically said they no longer want, and they tryed to Kill their 900 flying almost as soon as it started...just before the NWA merger?

Skywest...Delta has sent Mesaba into SLC and every month Mesaba is getting more and more flying in Skywest's backyard...
Comair was moved to New York , with the recent gate swap with US this may no finally make sence and Comair may not be on thier death bed.
I think with a little logic you can see what is to come
