Probably related to the average literacy rate of the respective pax. Many have come to expect the cattle car/ no frills treatment and thus don't complain. Business travelers not getting their upgrade are much more likely to write a nasty letter than Uncle Cletus who didn't get an aisle seat.

Trying to make a name for yourself at your future employer? This board is not as anonymous as you think. We require team players. Keep that in mind.

The flying public's loyalties are driven by their wallets, nothing else.
Imagin people spending their own money the way they want, and there is something wrong with that? It sounds like self-determination.

AYFKM! " We require team players." Is that all you've got? What are you gonna do, run to the chief pilot and turn in a statement from an anonymous dork board? What a loser.B][/B]

It is not anonymous in this case. And no, what could a chief pilot do. Just not a good idea to make a bad name for yourself with your new co-workers before you even set foot on the property. 'Least not in my opinion.

Really, 2 whole complaints per 100000?
These are actual formal complaints to the Department of Transportation, not your average angry letter to the company or snarky Facebook post. It takes a lot of thought, effort, and follow up to file a formal DOT complaint...and your average upset passenger doesn't really think to file such a complaint.

What exactly is untrue about his statement?

"average literacy rate of pax... Uncle Cletus...". Bad form to degrade the product of your future employer. Guarantee you that none of the hundreds of AAI guys that interviewed at SWA spoke that way in their interview. "jonjuan" should remain prepared for any possible outcome. Disparaging comments about the SWA product doesn't do that.
