Northwest recalls hundred of pilots

It's true, the company has recalled hundereds of pilots. What they fail to tell you is that it took notifying 450 pilots to get 75 to show up.

There's always somebody, somewhere willing to do more for less.

Yeah it's bad news, right?? Going back to work makes one a bottom feeder huh? Call me what you want but I'm not afraid to work and put a little sweat down. Why don't push your lazy agenda elsewhere.
 
Please tell me this guy is just screwing with us?

I think Gutshotdraw probably is. Anybody dumb enough to put down people going back to work or getting a job and earning some money probably is screwing around.

My point is that it is good to see people go back to work and folks getting hired. No flaime intended. And no, I'm not looking to go Northwest. Gosh, I don't even qualify. Leave it at that. Sorry.

Wow, I thought we took a 39% pay cut only to get laid off for a second time? But maybe they are taking into consideration the extra block hours you now have to work. Maybe that would then net only a 24% pay cut? Anyone? What are the normal schedules now, 13 days off and 89 hours?

There is a rumor that NW Pilots are conducting a "work to rule" slowdown in addition to milking the block times -- throwing their entire scheduling out of whack. They are short on DC9 crews though. I believe 100+ cancellations last month.

Way to go DC9 guys!! Hail to the BLUE, don't throw the rest of the pilot group to the dogs like some brethren(sp)(sorry been up all night) who is getting screwed the hardest(w/o being kissed that is) DC9, 320 and some 75.

Don't go getting emotional on us, don't you think there is a reason they have to call 400+ guys to just get 75-100 to come back. Doesn't that throw up any flags to you??

I agree but give the guys or gals respect who are going back and those who would like to work there. It is not a disgrace to work. Every case is different but I wont poo on those returning to work. For those returning it is probably an upgrade to what they are doing now. As far as flags going up, you never know.

Yo - CFI guy! Are you on dope? Going back to NWA after a 5 year furlough with the new change in rules is like you going back to your flight school the day after the owner gave you an ENTIRE new set of work rules that suck and also telling you that your pay was cut by a 1/3rd.

Get the point?

Unless you are from MSP, DTW, or MEM - going back makes no sense! I'm very glad I don't have to make that decision any more!!

Good luck to those that go back! Fight the fight for the rest of us!!

K Fed is hardly dead. He is still married to Brittney Spears and has recently released a pretty good CD. I admire him because usually women take us for all our money. K Fed is evening the score by muching off Brittney. Gotta love it!

Congrats Baja, SEA Flt Safety or Alaska??

I would like to add to the uniform pieces for sale, 45L on the jacket, doubt I could find my hat though! Kind of nice looking at the NWA sign in my rear view mirror!!
