Yes. This one is probably an Over-reaction by the crew and Marshalls onboard.

Thank you for flying Northwest. We aren't happy till you aren't happy.

OK, so, you have a large group of guys on a plane, passing cell phones around to eachother (in flight, by-the-way), disregarding Flight Attendants requests, going towards India, which is not too far from Pakistan...

...So much of a disruption that the FAMs come out from undercover...

...just after a major plot to blow up airplanes out of western Europe was stopped, with not all the suspects captured...and some of those suspects had connections to Pakistan...

...so, the crew decides to err on the conservative side, and bring 'er back to the earth (on their own terms)...

...and so now, you are saying that this is somehow NWA's fault, because they enjoy giving poor customer service??

Is that what you are saying?

Bold statement from someone who was not there. Wise up!

This really has nothing to do with NWA! The same thing would have happened if it were Delta or American or United. None of us were there, but it sounds like the FAs were doing their job and so were the pilots. How can you blame them, or even blame the company? Anyhow, KLM handles NWAs affairs in AMS... so if you HAVE to place blame if unauthorized travelers were alowed to board, it's KLMs fault.

In addition, some passengers unfastened their seatbelts while the light requiring they be fastened was still illuminated, the official said.
WoW!!

It funny how just adding a few words can change the description of these guys actions.By the way you do fly over Pakistan and Iran for that matter.Tehran Control is some of the best guys on the radio in the region.

You never miss an opportunity to bash pilots, do you?

If a dozen people are disregarding cabin crew instructions then that alone is plenty of reason to get on the ground and let the authorities sort it out.

I agree, one guy acting like strange = have pax and cabin crew deal with him, keep going. On the other hand, 10 or so men acting strange = get the aircraft on the ground.

Or how about this.A guy is running some kind of tour and keeps in touch with his young charges by cell phone as their home country cells don't work in Europe. He hands them out at the beginning of the trip and collects them on the way home. And when nobody asks what he is doing??????
