We have not heard that one but, I would not be to surprised if something like that happened. NAA has lost a few contract lately (military and vacation charter). They are trying more scheduled service (big mistake).CCDiscoB said:Are you guys hearing any rumors, like a merger with World? We hear some low level rumors about you guys. Specifically because of aircraft type.
I heard a B777 rumor (ex-BA) at NAA.B767300ER HEAVY said:The future at NAA looks optimistic and the pay cut is just another rumor.at least for now (By the way, it is Nov 1st today).
NAA has its eggs in separate baskets, some will brake and some will hatch.

While I agree that none of us should get high and mighty, Aloha pilots are and have always been the highest paid regional airline pilots in the nation, to the best of my knowledge.AA717driver said:Freight Dog--Prior to 9/11 some could have accused Aloha of lowering the bar. Nobody is holding up the "bar" and that's the problem. Charging $99 each way for HNL is REALLY going low. Who do you think will end up paying for those? Someone's got to.AA717driver said:Please tell me exactly who is holding up the "bar"? Don't give NAA pilots crap for their current wages when it's obvious that NONE of us WANT to work for anything less than top dollar.

This argument can go around in circles. Isn't considering yourselves a "regional airline" lowering the bar for other 737 pilots? Semantics is for the lawyers.English said:While I agree that none of us should get high and mighty, Aloha pilots are and have always been the highest paid regional airline pilots in the nation, to the best of my knowledge.
If flying 30 minute legs a maximum of 200 miles away isn't regional, then I don't know what is.

That's like saying baseballs players in the Major Leagues should take pay cuts because the players in the minors make less.why is everyone so money hungry? why can't people stop b**ching about money and be happy they have a job....even at 50 an hour i would be happy on a 75 or 76. that's what really makes this industry suck...pilots saying they dont make 150,000 a yr.....stop b**ching.
Agree. What did you personally do to raise the bar? Getting hired at a premium carrier doesn't count because you're basically riding on someone's coat tail.
