Don't you have language that says you get our matching, health benefits, and scope? I would say that is thee definition of coat tails.

If you were offered language stating that you automatically get any benefit of Skywest Airlines without expending any negotiating capital for it, you'd be a fool to decline.

The point was made to show who is riding who's coat tails. Unfortunately, your language made it almost impossible to improve those part of our contract since we are now having to expend negotiating capital for 7500 pilots rather than the 4500 dues paying pilots.

The pay scale on APC reflects 2012 pay rates. Other things have been updated on that page since but not the pay rates. To get the true rates for 2013, add 1.5% to the CRJ and EMB120 rates for both Captain and F.O. listed on that page and then 6% to the new CRJ rate to get the CRJ700 rate and 8% to the CRJ rate to get the CRJ900 rates for 2013.

O sh1t, a whole 3%. What's that like $29.97 more per month after taxes, health and 401K? Damn you living the high life.

Over the years I can't believe the stuff that shows up on this board. Guys think their kings of aviation because they bring home 75 more bucks per month than the next guy.

Makes me laugh when guys in the crew room expound to me how I bid "the wrong plane" because their group whatever plane is paying $2.75 more per hour than the one I'm on. Really? If your making 80 to 100K per year and $150/month is going to make or break you then you may need to look at the way you have your budget set up and not the plane you bid.

With pay rates, how pay is calculated, less pay for vaca, increased insurance premiums etc, it's thousands of dollars per year. It could easily add up to ten percent. It's not a matter of if you can live on it, it's the principle of being forced to take cuts in pay and qol when the real problems in the company are over-paid under-qualified people in the GO running this place into the ground.

PS. I know extremely wealthy people who kick and scratch over a few bucks even they don't need it or won't miss it. No matter what your financial situation, you want to keep what you've earned.

Can you provide a reference that says OO pilots will get those bene's? I've only heard talk, not seen anything in print.

Thanks

Ask your union. They negotiated it on your last contract. I don't have the actual document since Skywest pilots are so tight lipped about their work rules.
