Are you not in upgrade class yet? Man, that would be so sweet if you could get some turbine PIC in your logbook before UAL opens the window! Best of luck, and don't forget to give us AirTran guys a friendly hello in DEN or IAD when you make it to the big leagues!!!!!

Been to your airline lately and left...UAL is the big leagues compared to AAI. Not boasting just a different beast. Best of luck to you and were gonna need some over here...we all need some

Since United will be hiring again, just curious, will you still have to be a mentally incompetent 300 hour single black female with a Spanish surname from Canada to get hired?

I certainly meant no disrespect to your old (or new) airline. I was just offering some words of encouragement to the enthusiastic “instructor dude” in his quest to work for a major airline. Best of luck!

A 767 12 year seniority captain making $154/hour. You could not have being boasting and you are right, it is a different beast

Actually, dumbpilot, you're only looking at the straight hourly rate. We have a 15% TAX DEFERRED contribtion made to our B fund based on that hourly figure. For a pilot in the 25% tax bracket (a 767 guy making that kind of dough is probably in a higher tax bracket however), that equates to a 20% pretax hourly rate increase. So add about 20% to that hourly figure for a typcial pilot. If you're in a higher tax bracket, it's even more than that.

What airline do you work for dumbpilot?
