Screw Nasa

Public Domain is where it's at Rutan style

While I like what Rutan does, just going into low earth orbit makes Rutan's deal look like a trip around the patch in a J-3.

When he puts something into orbit, and it stays there for more than a couple of swings around, then that will be something interesting.

I can't wait to join the colony on Mars and walk around in space suits! It's so exciting

Yeah, dude, I hear that Arrow is working on a rocket-conversion for the DC-10-30, since they have pissed off everyone on Earth.

Do astronaut commanders get issued a type rating for the shuttle? If so, what is it's designation? Just curious and bored tonight....

Not sure if there is a type for the STS, but i'd guess that if there is they would probably have to sign a training contract. <joke> Is NASA PFT? Can you imagine?

I believe the Space Shuttle is still considered experimental flight and the commander is basically considered a test pilot. Most of the commanders and pilots were super test pilots in their military career, that's where they seem to be picked from.

I wonder how many hours in the sim it takes to be ready?

Without any new hiring, upgrade time must be out of this world.
...but with NASA odds of 1 in a 100, the pool has a good chance of drying up.

The drying comes after the melting.

Oh god, I'm going to hell.
