If so why the hell do people go there?
Haven't you heard? Big payraises are looming on the horizon. Schedule improvements are right around the corner. QOL is about to go through the proverbial roof. ALPA IS HERE!

Will enjoy watching the memos fly about ALPA lanyards and everything else soon. Keep taking those steps. When everyone acts together, management can't do anything about it.
Did you see this, Lear?

Don't forget the quick upgrade!!

Col, yes, I am well aware that AirTran has the lowest CASM in the industry, which is why I believe asking for major improvements in pay, QOL, and ESPECIALLY demanding fair, equitable, and professional treatment are all obtainable without "breaking the bank".

As long as all AirTran pilots act together as the union leadership directs, management will be unable to rule by fear and intimidation, and will be forced to bargain in good faith.

Relief Tube, no it wasn't always this way. The severe downturn in how the company deals with employees started just before T.A.'s 1 and 2 were voted down (the Christmas debacle is the earlilest I can remember thinking "WTF"?). It all went downhill quite quickly from there.

It's instructordude, don't worry about it Jeff.

He and Browntothebone have a habit of coming on here and stirring the pot. A few people you will see in almost every post who obviously antagonize people and get them into a big p*ssing contest, just to watch people get riled up.

iDude is just one of those types, while Browntothebone is more of the eternal pessimist. Easier to just ignore them since neither of them work at AirTran and keep working towards our goals of a fair and equitable contract with respectful and honest treatment by management.

And neither do YOU!

This happened at SkyWest and we sued the company the judge sided with us. You can wear Alpa lanyards and post Alpa stuff. What they are doing is illegal. Give ALPA legal a call.

Our Next Move As A Collective Group Will Be Wearing The Alpa Lanyard On Such And Such A Date .....indefinetly

And neither do YOU!

Brownonthenose,

The whole reason he doesn't "work there" is because he was making an effort to improve the contract of the pilots he flew with, something that would be far beyond your capabilities as a totaly self-centered, egocentric amoeba.

You have revealed yourself as a member in good standing of the "I've got mine, you get yours" fraternity.

It is good to see, maybe the pilots now will start controlling the throttles and the fly safe book !!!

Remember how ASA got a contract in just over 10 days of 35% ontime, I believe the taxi speed of a brisk walk, and being number 30-45 aircraft waiting on a MX guy, did not take long to tell MGT. that we run the airline everyday!!!!

Simple fix: get a clip for your ID then place company approved lanyard in Chief Pilot's V-File as it is no longer required.

I suggest everyone not wear the Lanyard and simply wear a clip that is provided by the Sida Office. If Lanyards are the focus of this airline, then I'm pretty sure we're gonna be making money this year...

Today AirTran pilots where so politly reminded that they may NOT where any lanyards that where not supplied by the company. I have had it. The temination of the probation FO's then furloughed when they got what they wanted only to be recalled 6 monthes later, the suspension of the FO for wearing his uniform on the way to work to drop off his family, and now they vote in ALPA and thats the rebuttle they get. I am normaly a low key guy but that has to take the cake. This MGT team has failed every effort to treat the pilots with respect. Dont treat me as if I answered an AD in a ATL newpaper to fly airplanes. They want to play by the book then that is what Airtran Pilots should do. A pax askes where gate D4 is. "Sorry sir my MGT won't let me talk to you about gate location, please see a gate agent" They want to play that way then fine. I want a ALPA lanyard more than ever now..........AirTran Pilots need to fly by the book (SAFE), Let me say it again BYE THE BOOK

"Just a reminder that the AirTran employee handbook states that only lanyards provided by the company may be worn."

By AirTran Chief Pilot who has began to sell out his fellow pilots.

This rule is only in the AirTran employee handbook. There are three manuals that them AirTranny pilots must adhere to with them HATZ.

-AOM
-FOM
-Union Contract

AirTran pilots had a good turnout for the ALPA vote, no HATZ week, and the picketing event. Now let’s see if every AirTranney pilot has the BALLS to wear their ALPA lanyard on the property.

Who cares about the lanyard you already won the vote.. Now my airline? Bunch of spineless p-ussies that enjoy having their faces stepped on while flying 95 hours per month with no work rules or cola

Exactly, 88% sends a message. Make as many rules about lanyards as you want. What about ALPA stickers on flight bags? I don't think they are serious, especially if EVERYBODY wears one.

Remember: next Friday... is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.

Excellent!! Hawaiian shirt, alpa lanyard and baseball cap on backwards. Should I wear my jeans halfway down my a$$?
