Let me be more clear. NETJETS has no shareholders. Berkshire Hathaway does. We are owned (as many companies are) by Berkshire Hathaway and are a small part of the investment portfolio.

NetJets is not owned by Berkshire Hathaway because they make money, rather that we make other parts of Berkshire Hathaway make money. And Berkshire Hathaway controls where NetJets spends thier money.

As a side note, this is my personal opinion - I admit I could be wrong in my observations and if anyone feels they could enlighten me with facts, I openly encourage this. Thanks.
