Yes but... That would be setting yourself up for a huge disappointment... From what I have heard from the couple guys I know th ere 4 years if the planets align perfectly...

At every job i've ever interviewed at I was told, "upgrade will be 5 years".

It's never been accurate.

The financially prudent thing to do is only take the job if you can deal with the worst case scenario. If FOs were paid decently, and after probation received a professional salary, upgrading wouldn't be such a critical question. Pilots have no control over the upgrade time, but there is a chance to have some input into wages. I encourage all of you to utilize the tools you do have at your disposal.
