So will all domiciles be available to new hires now, or just the limited ones?

I belive the HR's method of interviewing/hiring will continue the way it is presently. Having LAX and CMH available currently, with PBI and (ABC) available in the next grouping. However if you dont want to wait, you could now apply, interview for CMH, attend training and transfer to PBI if your fleet comes available for PBI, or Joe Smoe wants to trade with you, all while gaining 50 senority numbers possibly.

Flywest is a good translator. I hate reading those LOA's.

Although he is no help on rental cars and keys. His solution was something like... "let me sprinkle some salt on that wound, now I'll wash it out with vinegar." :crying:

Must . . . resist . . . easy . . . target . . .

I'm starting my basic indoc with NJA the 19th here, and I was wondering if anybody knew at which domiciles they use the sovereign besides lax? Because I would like to go to PBI.
Thanksss

The sovereign is in PBI also. I had two newhires in my class that were PBI sovereign

What plane should one select if he wants to initially be domiciled in CMH but later move to DAL. Or does it even make a difference.

At my previous employer, (Eagle) you made your aircraft selection based on where you wanted to eventually be domiciled.

The LOAs are on the message board section of the IBT1108 website. Look for the post "New LOA's - June 14, 2006" in the crew lounge area.

Congrats to all the new-hires that this will benefit.

The only downside is it puts just a big enough bandaid on the domicile problem that they will probably be able to get enough qualified applicants to not need to do away with the domicile system.

You are correct in calling it a band-aid, but it is a welcomed one. I personally don't think the domicile issue is going to go away until our next round of negotiations. They are having no trouble at all attracting qualified applicants currently, even while only hiring into two domiciles (LAX/CMH)! At least this LOA will eventually give some people reprieve from having limited domiciles to choose from.
