"g rocker who are you loyal to the teamsters or nja ?"

That is a good question. This is probably comparing apples to oranges. But I would like to point out my experiences with unions on the manufacturing side of business when I was younger. I was working for a large bearing company right out of HS.

Whenever, there was a conflict on the manufacturing floor at the factory with union workers and management, the standard answer for the hardcore union worker was "It's not in the contract." Or what's refer it to the union rep as a grievance against the company. As a young part time non-union employee, it seemed as if the workers were working for the union and not the company. And damn if it wasn't in the almighty "contract" it wasn't going to get done.

I'm very happy that NJ (and hopefully FLOPS pilots) received a well deserved raise BUT I hope this mentality doesn't start to creep into the rank and file.

Good luck.

SCT, I understand what you are saying about working at or with a union shop as it applies to the floor on a factory. There are firm times on the floor when union workers take a break and nothing gets done. At that factory though, were the union workers allowed to work for 14 straight hours in a row without a break??? Mmmmm, I dont think so.

If we are at the airport eating lunch and the passengers show up early, we cant say, "I'll be with you in 25 minutes when I am done eating my sandwhich and my official lunch break ends." Comparing the union of a factory floor isnt necessarily the same as the union at an airline or in this case, NJA.

This is too much fun to stay out of ... as a friend of mine told me .. we did not have to break any airplanes .. all we had to do was just do our jobs and stop doing theirs .. in other words stop solving their problems and preventing their trainwrecks we saw coming. That gummed up the works better than a broken airplane. And as a side benefit ... guess what !! They learned how to get them fixed quickly which is a continuing benefit now.

Here you go for NJA bashing. half the pilot force are crooks and intentially break planes and drag their feet to get extended days. Probably those who should have been taxi drivers.

It's too bad, because the other 50 percent are awesome and now get the burden of recovering all the trips. They are the true professional pilots, and to those I thankyou!

IT's sad that the majjority of NJA crews don't have the same Loyalty that I have seen from NJI pilots.

The he!! you can't! I just hide from them and I come out when I'm good and ready. Besides, I need all the energy I can get to load there stuff!

that's how we get extended days? Wow i'm sure crew resources didn't enter that part of the equation into their matrix.

Do you even understand what an extended day is or how it works at this company?

Again, throwing yourselves up on that pedestal above everyone else. You guys can do no wrong at NJI and you are all angels over there. And we are crooks here. Ha ah aha ahaaaa....you kids kill me.
