Agreed. He'd be one of the first to cross the line.

Agreed. He'd be one of the first to cross the line.

And what line might that be? Are you advocating that we'd have to strike sometime in the future? A show of brotherhood or something like that? If it ever came to that, if the vote is close, don't be surprised if hundreds crossed that line-- they didn't vote for ALPA would be their justification...

This union will do anything but unite our work force, it will effectively separate the group to those who wanted it and those who didn't. That will never, ever change. Congratulations JAOC.

Gentlemen, there you have it. Condemned by his own words. Never turn your back on Blue Bayou.

First, Jetblue hasn't needed to furlough so that argument is moot. Next if it did furlough how are going to be recalled? In order of seniority of based on you kissing the DR's butt?
Your last statement is so true it's scary. YOUR PVC's vote in favor if the 5 documents has sealed our fate. Jetblue's ability to buy or start and alter-ego airline means we won't have a job. Lest you forget that section 15 allows Jebtlue to keep operations separate and ultimately use our a/c on the new airlines routes. Reread section 15 and then watch the kevin Fitzpatrick video. Kevin Fitzpatrick at 104:30 says our current PEA lacks this protection. Section 15 states acquired by another air carrier, the underline sentence needed to say: acquired by another air carrier or an Entity that controls an air carrier or any other Successor, Entity or Affiliate. This means that a Transactional Event under our PEA would trigger Mc Bond only IF the transaction was for the ‘combination of multiple air carriers into a singe air carrier “and” involves a transfer of ownership control of (i) or (ii).

The company wrote: …

1) event of any airline merger, or
2) the purchase of 50% or more of the stock of one carrier by another.

The company is trying to mislead the pilot group into believing that an operational merger is not required by Mc Bond when in FACT it is the first condition of the two step trigger. The company wants you to believe this because our current PEA and the PVC’s 5 documents FAILED to secure operational merger in any agreed upon or road showed documents. The company on tape at the road shows REFUSED operational merger. Since the Direction Relationship has proven to be a failure and will not provide the first trigger of Mc Bond, the process has to change the words within the statute to make it appear you are protected when in FACT you are NOT.

Look, you're a nice guy but you and the rest of the BoB's are fighting to protect a failed process instead of fighting to protect our careers.

Just remember, the 5 documents that were presented initially to the pilots was a draft. According to several pilots I talked to on the PVC, the M/A language was one of the strongest in the industry. I believe the uneasiness everyone feels about our current DR is because they don't want to be a part of something unique. They'd rather be a part of an ALPA history that is ripe with failure (TWA, MIDWEST AIRLINES-- again still no explanation from the peanut gallery).

With that said, I will no longer be chasing the dog's tail with you guys anymore... It's been fun to see your perspectives as well as your personal zingers, but as a student of history, I will vote with the facts-- not the emotion... I will vote and vote NO for ALPA...

We'll all see how it pans out soon enough, enjoy your summer guys!!!

OH... MY... GOD... This really is your first real job. (by no means am I knocking the service.) BUT Do you really believe that crap. ALL.. ALL of the things that we proposed in the pilot review were things that had alreadly been reviewed. They had been addressed and the ELT lawyers yanked them at the last minute and put out the crap that we saw. The PVC walked away. The company showed its hand and gave us poop expecting us to like it.

Sorry man, I came here hoping for better. A place that is about "Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion." A place that says the employee comes first. Because, when the employee comes first they put the costomer above all.... In 4 years this airline is just like any other airline. Stories of the "good ol days" whey Dave1 used to come and drink beer with us. Well sir, we have 2200+ pilots and 14,000 crew members now. The good ol days of the boys club is gone. This is a billion dollar a year business now and we need to step up and grow up. If you wanna live in denial thats fine. Is ALPA the best, who knows, vote your concience. I know that the PVC and the "direct realtionship" is a load of kaka.

See ya on the bus.

Truer words than you know. He is one of the bottom 1%er's here at JetBlue, who famously once turned in a CA to the CP's office for taxiing too slowly on his commute flight.

None of us pay the slightest attention to him.

Wrong one guys... Just goes to show you don't know WHO or WHAT you are talking about.

Blue Bayou you are clueless. I have been reading your dribble for years and it is so apparant you really have no common sense.

I guess you can call anything a draft until it's signed. As far as your second sentence, I'd say the M/A language could not get much weaker. Do you realize 50%+1 of our pilots could be placed above the bottom guy on the other company's list, the rest could be placed below him, and the SLI portion of the our document would be satisfied? How does that sound to ya?
