New UAL scope explained by ALPA

In the end, economics will win out over rhetoric, false security and wishful thinking.

Ummmmmm, no. Anything over 76 seats will be flown by mainline, via the contract. 76 seaters are capped at a particular number, along with 70 seaters. These days 50 seaters can't cover gas prices, which means 70 and 76 seaters will cover for them, and 88 717s will fill in for 76 seaters. That magical "100 seater" was filled perfectly by the 717, at a discount price and paid for by SWA ($100 million refurb). That plan was executed well, and will lead to many newhires.

Who says I didn't post that at night after a great night on the town in Europe? I guess I have to be wasted before I go on a flight the next morning? No, I checked in on FI, because I enjoy it. You need to try to come up with something of substance, because you obviously can't when you check in every few years. Instead, just go away. So, how did the scope turn out? I think scope is a lot better today than it was back in 2006/7. Looks like the correct path was taken. It was only a matter of time to see how inefficient RJs are, especially with high gas prices. Those 70 and 76 seaters will now cover for outgoing 50 seaters, and 88 717s now take over for the 76 seaters. Mainline will recapture scope using them. What a great story. Data, your argument doesn't look at the whole picture. Take a look around you. And those 717s will lead to mainline hiring. Great night!

And then there is PBR, on the "stalking" roll because she can't come up with anything original, and somehow thinks that might be funny. Well, the webmaster on here didn't think so. Sorry PBR, next time come up original material that has staying power, like why RJs are continuing to be parked due to economic reasons. You only get lost in discussions about that.
