Folks, as TC pointed out in the other thread: for every furloughed pilot getting recalled, if you had one reinstatement when furloughed, AA will honor it - if you had more than one, you get to pick the one you want to keep. Just wanted to clear it up since I was responsible for some of the confusion in the last post.

Welcome back!

To add on, you will also have a reinstatement right to the last position held prior to furlough, even though it, "technically", wasn't a "displacement",just a furlough.

AW! I hate it when you guys are polite. Come on! Let's see some feces flying through the air... ;) TC

So I had a S80 CA SLT went to 76 FO SLT then the street and you say I can come back as 76 FO SLT and keep my reinstatement to S80 CA SLT intact?

You get to choose which one to keep. That is, if you want to use your SLT FO 767,to get to STL for QOL issues (line holder), you will lose the CA reinstatement right. You will still be covered under Supp CC for a CA position, but you will have to wait until all others with a SLT CA S80 reinstatement right have the option to upgrade. Previously, you would not have had the 767 FO option if you had not been displaced from that equipment, just furloughed from that status.
