new non rev fees on delta

Don't fall prey to the typical American attitude to complain about handouts. Anybody want to take a crack at the cost of a business class ticket to CDG? Here, i'll help...between 3500 and 5000 r/t from ATL. So...if you use your Delta bennies once to go to Paris and you get business class (almost guaranteed) you get a $5000 r/t ticket for $200.

Don't want to spend it on travel bennies, fine, but don't sit here and complain about something like this. Seriously. It's the same as the stupid Americans that travel to Europe and complain about the tiny hotel rooms. Are you really going to Paris to sit in your hotel room? Jesus.

No its an upfront fee just to be able to list for non rev travel on Delta it was 50 now its a 100 with a max of 200

First class is still free. You can wear flip flops when you non rev.

AA will not let you sit in first ever, even if that is the last seat on the plane.

He is paid by someone other than Delta, and he is paid a lot less than a Delta pilot. Don't kid yourself. Flying a regional jet with Delta connection painted on the side is not flying for Delta.

What about seamless service? Seamless service should mean seamless pass benefits!

Yes you are correct--partly. Delta, Inc. makes those decisions. Delta Airlines and Nwa are wholly owned subsidiaries of Delta, Inc.

Equal? What does equal have to do with it? Paid less--what does that have to do with it, not every pilot at Delta makes the same money!

He is paid by Delta, also. It is a direct flow-through cost.

World span employees have the same pass benefits and they don't even own airplanes.

We were owned by Delta back then. And Delta back then didn't have nearly as many international destinations as they do now.

Like I said before, $150 to fly business/first anywhere in the world is a deal to me. You guys should be grateful that we didn't get the fee/segment and/or fee/mile. THAT would have created WWIII if we are having this much complaing over $150...
