10 yrs ago this would have never been even heard of, hell 2008 wasn't that long ago!!! Is this a generation thing or is proper to just bail on an airline? Isn't that career suicide long term???

Nah they know DAL pilots are already tight so they don't expect that from new hires. Better get that quarterly RGT done, a pigeon told me Delta keeping tabs on that as well.

It's an ethical thing, not an actual obligation.
