Some of the easties have been looking at the west classes, as easier to get to for a reason. That reason is the pre'98 hires get 1k/month of service upon return. If they can't retire (to young or whatever) they are required to show up for 1 day of class. So a bunch are figuring how to do that. So those 5 may show up, then leave fairly quickly too. Never know till the 2-3rd day..

And for the real question...I've been waiting for a few weeks now since the change in status. BUT I just recently added a new type. Who knows what "the man" is looking for...

Just curious as to what the latest is on new-hires going east/west. My wife and I are looking at moving and with family in PHX and more in NM, USAirways west might be a nice option. Another looming New York winter already has me shivering.
 
Word as of now is that 50 of the 350 newhires this year will be coming west. I'll believe it when I see them on the reserve list behind me.
