I'm just going to have to come down there and take over to settle this mess. I have leased an office space close to current HQ. Doug has been refusing my calls, so I have placed a big sign in my office window that says "FREE BEER". I'll be expecting Doug any minute now. I hope he doesn't drive here.

When I take over, I am thinking of putting Bill Franke back in as President, just as a morale booster for the employees.
 
What are the trips like and the most frequent and popular destinations/overnights for each of the 3 fleet types and the LAS and PHX bases? Thanks
 
12 days off a month min
4 reserve periods per day, 12 hour availability, 4am, 7am, 1pm, 4pm (morning reserve moves an hour fwd after Daylight Savings).
Long call possible but is kinda senior (12 hour call out).
77 hour guarantee

12 days off-30 day month
13 days off-31 day month

Hey clueless. You're MEC lied to you about the arbitration and he's lying to you about the ability to overturn it. Why you guys are following that lying scumbag off the cliff I don't know.
 
For those asking about hotels during training, The "Poolies" stayed at the country inn on scottsdale rd.
for indoc., in PHX, not sure where they stay while in CLT. Payed by the company.

You would do well to direct your energy towards the problems at your airline, rather than at someone mocking your seniority integration from the outside.
 
t could be years before the East/West issues are put to bed.

IF that's the case, and I doubt it will be that long, you would DEFINITELY want to work for the west side. East side work rules SUCK, and they (the east) seem to be content to fight this until Armagedon. Let 'em do that, and finish out your career with the West rules.

East just doesn't get it.

I was in the PHX training center last week and was told that yes they are doing interviews in PHX. But it is a the same thing as doing a new hire interview in CLT or PHL. They are keeping the West HR and Interview Pilots employed (since it seems the East pilots want to self implode, maybe MNGMT is ramping up the West side in case management needs it). Both sides of the East and West house are hiring but you don't know where you will be assigned or to what equipment until day one of training. So if you only want to come West (the good ole AWA), you'd have to show up, gamble for a West Domicle (LAS & PHX) and West CBA, and then walk out the door if placed on the East CBA and an East Domicle on day two or three of training. We are bringing on board 15 more Airbus instructors on the West side. Anyone that went to a PHX interview this week want to let us know how it went?

YIKES...so, you can't even hedge your bets? If that's the case, it might make sense for folks to take a LOA from their current job, OR vacation time that is long enough to cover the first few days of training, so in the event they get hosed and assigned the EAST side, they can go back to their previous job.....

You could be right on that one, since it's pretty much old-farts on that list.

But, IMO, it's all about QOL/Work rules, and how long you're willing to hang out in the toilet bowl hoping to get out.

I don't care what they pay me...living in that toilet would pretty much suck, ya know?

I heard Dan Rogers (CP) say that there will be 5 "easties" in a Nov. 5th class out here in PHX and that they wanted to come west!!!


Clearly the neighborhood back east has taken a turn for the worse.
