Ignore this idiot. He's just one of many bitter "easties" who's P.O'ed at the world because the new senority list didn't go DOH like his MEC told him it would.

PHXFLYR:cool:

Oooooo. Testy, testy.

If my post offended you, why don't you report me to your union.

Anyone have the telephone number to USAPA?

I wouldn't mess with a hotel. Get a room in a crashpad, save yourself a ton of money, and have more fun...

I don't think you'll see anyone hired to America West. You might see some of the new hires to US Airways placed on equipment in PHX or LAS. There is a big difference there. If you were placed out West, you'd operate under our CBA (the old AWA contract) because everyone out West operates under the old AWA CBA agreement until a new CBA is negotiated and the combined seniority list gets hammered out and implemented.

AWA doesn't exist anymore. The certificate was retired (or put on the shelf) and we are all (East and West) now on the US Airways certificate. AWA pilots are contract pilots under the AWA CBA flying on the US Airways certificate.

So, you'd be a new hire to US Airways, and then it would be up to HR, INDOC, “secret squirrel check” to see where you were placed. West would be a winner as a new hire because you'd make more while all this crap is hammered out, but I’d bet you don't know till day 1 of INDOC.

As far as the AWA poolies coming West, they have a new US Airways P# under the combined seniority list. They won't be able to "retro rights" to the West. They will only be able to move West if their seniority can hold it. A new hire who was domiciled in PHX or LAS would be protected at that domicile, IE not forced to move, but might be on Reserve a long time as East guys bid West vacancies as they develop. All that of course once we use the combined list. In the short term, a West domiciled US Airways new hire would be way better off financially and work rule wise.

Stay away from the Sleep Inn. My truck was broken into there and they didn't care. Know by PHX police as a high break in Lot. Letters to Corporate, etc, all fell on deaf ears. Jerks. Just my 2 cents on the issues.

Not testy at all. Just callin' it like I see it and somehow I think my assesment is spot-on.

Not sure what pickeball has to do with the USAir east guys. Maybe it's a new way to let their anger out.

Shows you what I know.

See, that's your mistake. You put in the wrong address...this is the right one. They meant the UNITED STATES AMATEUR POKER ASSOCIATION. Don't feel bad. It's a lot like Vegas, except instead of your money you gamble your future away.

Here, try it! http://www.usapa.net/

Gentleman, place your bets!

PS. Regardless of what a small faction of small, angry men say, this is a pretty damn good place to work. Perhaps they've forgotten what a REAL job is actually like.

Lucky for you, that arbitrator Nicolau will be deciding this for you.

If you have a lot of C-150 time, he will probably determine you to be Captain material, and place you ahead of a 20 year US Captain.

New hire indoc has changed too. Word is that Doug takes you out bar hopping for 3 days on Mill Ave.

He'll drive!

whatever

MJ -- are you saying that the West HR department called you and is bringing you to PHX for an interview with US Airways West? IE they are only looking at you to be added to the West side of the house?

Interview is in PHX. Don't know if it is for East or West ops, didn't ask. Doesn't matter to me since I have family near several Airways bases. What matters to me is how the future looks at Airways, lots going on there at the moment. I was surprised I got a call since I didn't apply, just gave them a resume at Air inc. job fair.
