Did anyone read the newest Fastrack on Epic??? FB not only mentioned "87%" restructure completion but also new crew bases as early as this summer.... Any real insight as to what cities they are?????

I've heard BOS, LGA, and DCA. Captain heard it from a CP

Those domiciles ought to work out well for newhire pilots and flight attendants on those payscales. (come on... they can't be serious???)

Don't you mean, "Surely they can't be serious?" :)

...& don't call me Shirley!

Glad to see we're bringing them all back! I don't care what other bases we open, as long as we don't CLOSE MCO!!! At least maybe we'll get a decent crewroom in BOS (till MassPort kicks DAL out for non-payment on the new terminal) instead of 'Comair Corner' upstairs.

>At least maybe we'll get a decent crewroom in BOS

we went over to the DAL crew room in the other terminal on one long productivity break. sweet digs. a DAL captain sugested we go over when he found out how long we were sitting. much nicer than the terminal.

i even got to return the favor. a DAL crew got stuck in GSO because of maintenance, so we invited them to hang out in Ops.

holy crap, Good DOES Go Around!

OMG! A Delta guy being nice to us? Us being nice in return? What is this world coming to! ;)
I've heard BOS and DCA as well from some mgmt. types.

I spoke to someone in Crew Forecasting and Planning yesterday who told me the letters will be arriving on Monday. All pilots are getting called back. UBA757

Just got my second recall letter today for an April 3rd report date. What happened to the 1 year voluntary furlough? As far as I'm concerned, they can go pound sand with their current pay rates.....I wouldn't go back even if they offered our 2001 contract. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if the FA's shut Comair down if that 1113C is approved by the BK judge. No way the FA's are going to take a 30% pay cut. Time will tell....

maybe a rumor or not, but in recurrent ground school, FB said that BOS and MSP, will be the next comair bases, FB said that you can start that rumor becuase its true..

To: Comair Pilots
From: The Comair MEC
Date: March 4, 2006
Re: Recall letters sent to all remaining furloughees

The Comair MEC is delighted to announce that all furloughed pilots have been sent recall letters. This recall comes as the result of a planned future increase in aircraft utilization and a perceived stabilization of the airline in the bankruptcy process. The furlough recall process supports your MEC’s long held view on adequate and proper staffing of the airline, no matter what the business climate.

We welcome back each and every furloughee. Your MEC will continue to work with Comair management to make the recall process flow smoothly, until every furloughed Comair pilot is back flying the line.

email was received today

Where is this posted on epic, all I can find is the notice of the 54 recalled on Feb 1st.
I haven't seen it on EPIC either, but I got an email that says all furloughs are being invited back, no date though. PM me your email address and seniority number and I'll forward it to you.

Thanks, just got the alpa email as well.

so IF YOU TOOK A year long voluntary furlough, are you still required to come back with a recall letter since they want everyone back, or can you still wait the full year and then come back with seniority even if they have hired new pilots of the street? i bet the ones that took the year voluntary furlough want the time for the whole year

I believe you have to come back. I know you could by-pass once on the 2nd time you either came back or resigned, but since they are recalling everyone, i do not know if you can by-pass now.

I bet less than 50% come back.

Yeah, about this recall, it doesn't work into my schedule, I was hoping for later in the year..............

Voluntary furlough was for up to one year.

Thanks Einstein, I am fully aware of the up to one year wording. My point was who would have ever thought it would be only two months! It was just a bunch of smoke and mirrors created by our incompetent president, Fred Buttrell!
