I think flying without a medical was the point.....so the manufacturers can hold those that want to fly but without a medical hostage financially.

You're right. The EAA has an LSA magazine which I subscribe to. The typical LSA is gonna set you back $85K+. I understand liability, but there's got to be a way to produce a simple airplane for $40K or less.

There's gotta be a way..but then the certification process is long and expensive..then the unit sales needed to recoup that..and when GAMA says that a sales quarter where 432 piston planes were delivered as 'outstanding' guess it makes sense then(figure for 1st quarter 2005)..Guess that makes each plane a 'limited edition'

I suppose once some whiz guy figures how to produce and move that many planes in one month then prices might come down to a more reasonable level? Like Henry Ford did with the streamlined assembly line for cars..Could something like that be done for airplanes?

I am not going to be belittled by someone who admits to having difficulty landing small aircraft. When you grow up junior, then you can talk. Don't need to be a CFI or an airline pilot to disagree with a certain career path or a companys business practices. Yeah, god forbid I had a little trouble landing an airplane the first time I flew it. I love the God's gift to aviation attitude you have. Belittling someone for not being perfect at everything is one of the worst attitudes one can have. But hey, I'm not allowed to judge or have an opinion because I'm not a mighty BE1900 captain.

And what is going on in this industry is just as much the business of an aspiring professional pilot, as is a current one.

If I am so insignificant, why do I get under your skin? I don't see why you need to focus on me as a thorn in your side. I think there are plenty of other Gulfstream bashers to keep you busy. But I don't think Flightinfo would miss your "contributions" one bit. But thats just my opinion.

To make comments on the airline industry as a pilot, you do. You need to be an airline pilot to form an opinion, let alone a professional one, of someone else in the airline industry. It is no excuse that you had some trouble landing the plane. You should have done it right the first time if you are going to bash other pilots for anything. I don't have a "gods gift to aviation" attitude. I empathize with all pilots and am positive in general conversation. I do not bash anyone for the choices they make. I do bash you, for bashing me. To belittle me, you have to be perfect. If not, how can you belittle ANYONE! And yes, I am a mighty Captain, and I can talk. Why? Because I have been there and you haven't. Like I said before, when you grow up, you can talk.

Why? Because you spread things that are untrue about things you know nothing about. You have no first hand experience behind you to back your commentary on regional threads. There are not as many bashers as you think. Just the few like you that hide behind the computer. And I devote my time to every one of them. Flightinfo might not miss me, but the type of contribution I give would be. If I wasn't here, you would be chasing your own tail.
