And don't forget the automatic emergency descent feature!Correcting said:-Max ramp and t/o weights are 200 pounds higher.
-ZFW is 100 pounds higher.
-Cockpit avionics are upgraded and somewhat different. MFD uses cursor control device. Magnetic compass is now integrated into Meggitt.
-Brakes are awesome
-The model is identified with a letter "S" added to the end of the letters "XL"
Some other differences as well, but those are the big ones. All the limiting speeds are the same.
Yes, the pilots do get the additional pay for flying 2 models of aircraft.
Shhhh! That reminds me of the folks who say things like 'flying is so much fun, I'd do it for free!"SCT said:NJ pays "differences pay" for an XL/ XLS? That is ridiculous, it's the same type.
He is the guy with "jetplt" on his tags and the "Will Fly For Food" bumper sticker. Tool.:uzi:d91papa said:Shhhh! That reminds me of the folks who say things like 'flying is so much fun, I'd do it for free!"

SCT said:"Shhhh! That reminds me of the folks who say things like 'flying is so much fun, I'd do it for free!"....Papa.
Papa, I wouldn't do any thing for free but I do have common sense. FS doesn't even have a "differences class" for the XL/ XLS.
It's not about a different type. It's about a different model. From the contract... "Crewmembers who are qualified and possess a duty assignment as Captain in more than one (1) model of aircraft...NJ pays "differences pay" for an XL/ XLS? That is ridiculous, it's the same type.
