What are the landing runway requirements for the XL/XLS at Netjets. What are the guidelines for landing. I know the FAA regulations but according to the DAAP how short of a runway can you use? My question may be confusing but I am not looking for specific numbers but rather the operational quidelines.

I'm furloughed (so it's been almost 4 yrs), but seems like 4000'=min with 3800' being authorized "with chief pilot approval" rings a bell. I'm sure a current NJA XL driver can chime in to confirm or correct me…

(that's all dry/sea level..absolute min)

You can use 80% of the effective runway distance w/ DAAP down to 4000'. Other "pre-approved" airports are authorized to 3799' that meet additional criteria. One of the common mistakes is taking 80% of the runway distance and comparing to the "dispatch" number. Actually the numbers from dispatch are factored to show the amount of runway you can use and are derived by taking the AFM landing distance and dividing by .8
