Hey can't find the TA... Question.
1. Is it one seniority list now so a person who starts there today can eventually end up in the BBJ?

All one list. The BBJ will stay very senior, and unless we get a lot more or you live to be 200 yrs old, forget it. Other opportunities may arise in new jets in the future though. Who knows what tomorrow brings.

actually, with the new agreement, the bbj f/o slots will probably go junior. could be pic AND sic bids after the holidays - at least 2 f/o's going back and with the new extend day rules (only allowed 3/qtr) we may end up short of pilots. junior f/o's due to the fact they can make more as a capt on the other fleets - which wasn't the case with the old agreement.

I would be shocked if the BBJ F/O slots went very junior, the first year base is more than a 5 yr F/O will make on anything except the 2000EZ. Although you may see some of the people approaching 60 bail out of it since its flown under part 121.

Count on it going a hell of a lot junior than it is now. FOs are bailing. But if you get hired today, odds are slim to none you'll see it.

Hey Biz,
How are the trips on the BBJ at NJA ? Do you get stuck on long extended trips exceeding the 7/7 or sent TDY to Jakarta or some other place on the other side of the globe?
How does the QOL compare to any of the other fleets at NJA?

Just currious..

There are a couple guys on temporary assignment stuck in jakarta right now. For some reason one of them loves it there. Can't figure out why. :)

QOL is much better. (opinion) The new CBA work rules in the other fleets mimic what we've had from the beginning. SIFA tours will be more interesting, though extended days will be traded for 35% bonus and equal days off for days worked.
Maybe that's what your buddy likes about Jakarta. :pimp:

Plus, it's literally as far away from CMH as possible! ;)
