Both good choices with slightly different business models. Netjets allows, in addition to the Marquis card, much smaller fractions for owners (down to 1/16th whereas I believe XOJet offers 1/2 and full shares and then does charter work on the side using idle aircraft).

If you really want to fly a Citation X, you have a better chance at XOJet given that is primarily what it operates now until the Challenger 300s start to arrive vs. a wider array of potential aircraft types at Netjets for newhires. Both are successful companies but at different stages. Netjets has the "scale" to keep things going and it is the market leader by a long shot. XOJet is much smaller but it is growing at a decent pace and your upgrade time might be shorter.

I don't know much about domiciles at XOJet other than the Sacremento area I believe at the moment, but Netjets only offers five domiciles for newhires at the moment (before the next round of contract discussions). I hear XOJet is considering other fixed domiciles in LA and NYC but it also offers limited homebasing for people who select a reserve-type of schedule.

Tough choice for some people - if you are risk averse and you get offers from both, I would probably go with Netjets because it is a definite long-term player. It has worldwide scale and a great reputation. If you don't mind not having a union and you can tolerate a little more risk (and you want to upgrade a little faster), XOJet might be for you. The type of flying done and schedules seem pretty similar regardless of which one you choose. I believe XOJet does charter flights for Netjets (standards must be pretty similar).

Get two offers and learn as much as you can from actual employees before you make this decision. Good luck.

15+ Citation Xs with Challenger 300s on the way. The founder was a big-time Silicon Valley guy who made serious cash and he started this company a few years back. It's growing fast and Netjets might outsource some flights to it.

Sounds like upgrade time would be quicker so you might make more money faster. Not sure what the top-end pay would be though.

You know that is an interesting observation. When the company was doing market reserch to choose a name, they found that most men associate XO with the executive officer of a ship. On the other hand women associate it with hugs and kisses.

I wonder what that says about you??? I wouldn't worry about it ,maybe your just sensitive.

Probably the worst plane they could pick for any type of charter/fractional flying. The X is a sexy plane but it is has one of the worst dispatch numbers at nj.
