Hi, just wondering if someone can give me some insight as to what info will be provided by the company prior to training and when I should expect it. I've been in queue for a May class since December and now that it's getting closer I'm wondering when I can expect to see some information regarding what I should bring to training and how I should prepare and so forth. Also, when is the travel information normally sent? It's just been an awfully quiet 5 month wait without much contact, I guess I just want to make sure that's normal. Thanks.

It's been over a year ago for me (already!), but about 10 days prior to indoc, they emailed a bunch of PDF files with the SOP's, checklists, limitations and memory items. Usually you can get a buddy to email them to you early if you're "eager". In my case, after studying all that stuff, they changed all the SOP's and memory items the week I got there!

What you learn in indoc will have very little to do with what goes on at Flight Safety. In fact, I got conflicting data. Oh, you'll also hear, "don't worry about performance to much...you'll get it at FSI" and then when you go to FSI, you'll get, "Don't worry about performance too much here. NetJets covers all that when you go back for flight training." When you get to flight training, they'll wonder why you don't seem to have a good handle on performance!

Enjoy the process. AND DON'T BE LATE FOR HAPPY HOUR AT THE EMBASSY SUITES!!!!!!

Thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it. You get a little nervous when you quit your job based on hearing someone say "you're hired" 5 months ago with no further contact. I just wanted to make sure the ship wasn't setting sail without me, but it seems like it's just par for the course.

You guys need to let that go. It got old over on our site, and it's not any better here.

What gets old is the memos on the blackberry from Hart about pilots dressing in a manner not becoming a NetJets pilot.

Dress and act like a professional. From head to toe.

You also need to learn when someone is having fun at your expense. It makes you look like an idiot when you continue to take it seriously.

Starting April 16th ...got cd's/dvd's two weeks ago...travel info on Monday, one week before class.

Study, study, study! Good luck. I know for myself, I like to have a little info a couple weeks before. Just the Memory Items, Limitations, and Profiles. I try not to overload before class.

Don't forget the CBA. Your rights under the CBA start on DAY 1.

Remember the pecking order: FAR, CBA, FOM.

Know 'em, Love 'em, Fly 'em.
