What are the chances of getting either of these aircraft if you interview in the next few months? Does aircraft assigned vary by pilot experience?

Usually the first 15-20 pilots in each fleet are senior pilots with no FO slots for a few months. Takes time to get released Captains, IP, check airman and the such up to speed. I wouldnt expect to see FO slots till late summer at the earliest. The 4000 might take a little longer :D

The odds you will get either of these jets in the next couple of months is very near to none, there aren't even capts bids out for these jets yet..... G150 isn't coming until the last quarter of '06 and the 4000 will only be flown by two VERY, VERY senior capts for a while. There is only one 4000 coming for awhile.

My experience from my recent interview group was that we were all approved for all aircraft types. The availability was dependent on the Flight Safety or Simuflite classes that had to be filled after the available basic indoc dates.

I was offered Hawker 400XP or XL others 400XP only or Falcon 2000 only.
I could of waited until April for G200 but decided seniority is the name of the game.

At the interview I asked the question regarding new hires in new aircraft types and the answer I was given was anything in Class 1-3.

Good Luck.

Is the TEB domicile full?

I just got a "domilcile declaration form" that said that NJ was only hiring into PBI, LAX, CMH.

thanks

wow that didn't take long

Arrgh, that's depressing.

How'd you come by the memo -- are you hired waiting for a training date?

I'm still waiting for an interview. :-(

I find it difficult to believe that the paradise that is TEB is filled before any of the other domicles. Maybe just a typo? Call and ask they are very upfront.

I bet the Company is going to exercise their option under 13.2 (c) before the end of the summer.

Let's see............
Which option is that?

My buddy is getting ready to interview soon and got the same email. Nothing left except CMH, LAX, and PBI, subject to change, of course. :)

man i just don't get them. the pool is running dry and they start closing down more domiciles?

Diesel.....are you really surprised that this is happening? We are not dealing with the sharpest knives in the drawer.

This has got to be the most inept management team in the aviation industry. Heck....USAir management could do a better job then there back-wood famers.

If they were smart they would let SU run the show.

I hope this isn't true. And if it is, not long term. NJA was going to be my chance not to commute. I'm one of those that got the we want to interview you but don't call us emails. I live in Dallas and can't uproot my wife and kids from all the grandmas and grandpas.

Try not to get too excited

NetJets just came out saying they will try to hire 450 more pilots this year. I don't think they can all just go in one base if they say the others are full. My guess is that TEB and DAL have been the most popular to start out and they're just trying to spread things around a bit more. They will almost certainly need more pilots at DAL and TEB in the near future.
