NetJets Domiciles

Kinda curious if anyone has gotten done with training as a newbie under the new CBA. How is the new domicile stuff? Are they airlining you out from your domicile to get an airplane? Do you usually finish your tour at your domicile?

I've been using CMH as my domicile for almost a year. I've seen tours where I've not airlined at all and some tours where I start and end with an airline. It happens in waves in my experience. This last tour, I airlined out to pick up a plane, a few days later, we flew it to CMH (spent 2 nights in town) and then finished the tour by ferrying a plane home.

As always, your mileage may vary and I suspect it the amount of airlining might also be influenced by the fleet one is assigned.

Domiciles

Has anyone heard anything about more domiciles at Netjets opening up for new hires? To be more specific: Boston? TEB is a long way from home for me and that is the only thing keeping me from trying to get a job at Netjets.

Spackler, You may have missed the boat on this one......Right now people in the area of the 5 Domiciles are getting hired....who knows when the Company is going to open other airports to new hires. If they do it for new hires they are going to have to allow everyone. I may be quite a while before that happens.....

Don't forget that the Company's reason for hiring people who are willing to fly out of the Domiciles is to stack the deck come next contract talks and try to get rid of the HBA's all together. Or at least, reduce the number.

I just thought it was worth asking. Every once in a while I hear rumors on the road that more domicile might open up. Oh well…I’ll wait and see what happens here at flops.

1st choice for the near future at least. They know a lot of people can't relocate so unless a particular domicile gets overstaffed they'll let new hires choose.
